AmeriCU connects you with scholarship opportunities!

Please note: There are two different scholarship programs available, each outlined below. Applicants must fill out both applications separately and send each with accompanying materials. Please follow instructions completely. Incomplete packets will be disqualified.

Ten $1,000 Scholarships Available to AmeriCU Members

AmeriCU is proud to connect ten deserving high school seniors, or continuing college students, with a $1,000 scholarship toward their education.

The AmeriCU Scholarship Program is open to all primary members who will be attending an accredited college, university, or other institution of higher learning on a full-time basis during the next academic school year. Employees of AmeriCU, Directors, committee members, volunteers and their families are not eligible. Scholarship recipients are chosen by an independent committee made up of AmeriCU members. Winners will be notified by March 1. Anyone not notified by March 1 was not selected as a scholarship recipient this year. Award winners will be honored at our Annual Meeting in March.

New York Credit Union Association Scholarship Program

AmeriCU members are eligible to apply for the New York Credit Union Association’s (NYCUA) statewide scholarship program, which is open to graduating seniors attending college for the first time in the Fall of 2025.

To get started, fill out the online application. Once completed, be sure to save your file as a Word document, PDF, or JPG. You will then need to upload the application and all required materials here.

If you are unable to submit your application online, you may bring your completed application and supporting documents to your nearest AmeriCU Financial Center for assistance submitting.

Applications must be submitted online or returned to the credit union no later than January 17, 2025.
