Building Stronger Communities: Our Commitment to Service and Support

Communities article

Our team embraces volunteering with enthusiasm, setting us apart and demonstrates our commitment and dedication to our communities. Our employees are proud to stand as one team, focused on our mission, vision, and people guided by core values to create meaningful connections every day with one another, our members, and our community. AmeriCU teammates have donated over 1,223 hours in the communities we serve.

AmeriCU teammates are encouraged to spend time in the community and build connections that make a difference. A Personal Day of Meaning provides each teammate eight paid hours to volunteer at a charity of their choice. By supporting local organizations of all sizes, we collectively strive towards building a better society.

AmeriCU extended additional hours for employees to assist with the recovery efforts from the devastating tornado that struck Rome. This initiative allowed staff to volunteer with their time and resources, demonstrating the credit union’s commitment to supporting those in need. By providing extra hours, AmeriCU helped to ensure that the recovery process was effective for everyone impacted.

Making a difference in every community we serve is part of who we are. To make a positive impact, AmeriCU teammates remain dedicated to the communities we serve through volunteerism and working collaboratively with nonprofit partners. Charitable organizations that are in need of volunteers for events or activities in our community can make a request by visiting www.americu.org/in-our-community.
