GRIFFISS TECHNOLOGY PARK, NY – JUNE 13, 2023: On base or on the move, AmeriCU Credit Union’s new Virtual Financial Center offers cutting-edge digital service and support to members of the armed forces. This innovative technology provides service members with a personalized and efficient way to manage finances from anywhere.

Since its establishment in 1950 at Griffiss Air Force Base, AmeriCU has been serving the military community for over 70 years. The credit union recognizes and appreciates the unique challenges faced by military personnel and understands the importance of providing tailored financial services and support to meet their specific needs. To address these challenges and ensure convenient access to financial resources, the credit union thoughtfully designed the virtual financial center with the needs of traveling members in mind, ensuring that they can easily connect.

The virtual financial center serves as a comprehensive online platform that allows military personnel to access a wide range of financial services and resources to effectively manage their finances and plan for the future. The credit union has a dedicated team ready and available to assist service members with applying for a loan or mortgage, opening a new account or credit card, and much more.

“Our Virtual Financial Center team is able to provide nearly the same service experience members receive and expect when visiting an office in person with the added convenience of being able to connect on screen from anywhere,” said Kristy D’Imperio, Assistant Vice President Member Contact Center. “This allows members who relocate or travel frequently the opportunity to continue being an AmeriCU member and deepens our relationship so we can continue to help them succeed.”

AmeriCU offers the latest technology to provide a seamless and user-friendly experience including live chat, audio calls, and video chat. Service members can conveniently access and utilize the Virtual Financial Center from anywhere they may be, ensuring easy availability and accessibility.
